I'm at that age when I think I know exactly what I want in life, BUT always taking a peek at what the other person is having on his plate and then losing my whole perspective!!!!

Delta Smelta My Toot!!

It's been a week since my sis lost her bag when she flew back to Florida, and this morning came the long awaited news.....she got back her bag, MINUS THE CONTENT!!!! What a way to start your week after a wonderful holiday....

The irony of it all is that all the girly good stuff is gone; designer handbags and shoes, clothes etc. The damn thief didn't bother with some important documents, movie CDs. And after all the rummaging done, why would you return the bag? Did her conscience get to her? And to be doing all this at the airport itself and then returning the bag....I cant seem to pick the brain of a thief, furthermore a girl, UNPREDICTABLE! If I were to steal something, I'd do it away from prying eyes and throw away the evidence...not that I'd do anything like that, just putting forward the profile of a thief. Why return the bag la??? Whatever la....what is past is past, we just have to learn from the lesson....DON'T FLY DELTA!!

Now, she's lodging a complain to get reimbursement for her lost and damaged stuff. But what about her trauma and distress? How do you quantify that? I can feel her anguish...the great feeling after a good holiday, the anticipation and thrill of opening your luggage and appreciating the stuff that you bought for yourself and gifts for friends and families....all gone down the drain. The worst of it all, after a week of waiting, they deliver what looks like something the cat dragged in...more like what the BIG DAMN ELEPHANT HAD STOMP ON!!! DONT FLY DELTA!!

It's not so much of the money lost, but on the stuff that you had bought, the time spendt on looking for that something that match your personality, character and just makes you say "I must have that or die', the stuff that makes you remember the place you travelled to, the things that made you contemplate for days, the sacrifice that you had to make in order to buy it, the things that you are soooo sure will make people look at you in envy......man can I go on and on....sigh...sigh......On top of that, they've got this stupid policy that if you decide to make a police report for your lost, investigation will be conducted BUT you would not be reimburse on your losses. If you make a claim, they would contemplate on the damages BUT no investigation will be conducted. Wei, we are living in the 21st century, that's NOT how you do business. Her bag was in your care when all this happened, don't you want to improve on your controls and services and get down to the root of the problem and find a closure? DONT FLY DELTA!!

All I got to say is sis.......sue them dry!! The worst thing is that, they just return the bag with no apology or explanation to the incident. It's like saying, 'HERE'S THE BAG, AT LEAST WE FOUND IT, DEAL WITH IT, IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, NORMAL COURSE OF LIFE'.
Don't they even care about their corporate image and consequences of their inaction? When you are doing business with the public, your image is the most important asset. Complaints should be taken seriously. WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT??? I dont think they care, Americans are over zealous paranoid arrogant people...if they care, they would have gone on a different way when dealing with Afghanistan and Iraq! So sis, my 2 cents worth is do all that you can do to get them to reimburse every penny that you lost and wasted and make sure you write a complain letter and c.c it to every department that you think might be of help and next time DONT FLY DELTA!!

Mannnn...I'm affected by this too. I FEEL U, SIS!! Ok, I should get it out of my system, coz I'm famous for carrying it too overboard...for sure I will splurge on my lunch and put on the weight that I don't need!!! Alright then, DONT FLY DELTA, and Adios Amigos.

Big Hoohaa Over Nothing.

CRAPOLAAA!!!

That's what I got to say about the movie Da Vinci Code. I went to see the movie last night after all the hype, and I was so disappointed. I cant comprehend the extent of how fictional the movie was, and yet there were discussions going around to contemplate the possibility of the idea being true. I'm wondering why aren't the Christians revolting, at least to yell some dissatisfaction. Nothing...zilch...elek! Are there no die hard Christians around or is the idea of defending one's religion and faith is too geeky or soooo in the past?

Maybe I'm speaking from a Muslim's perspective, where we dont tolerate any attempt to taint our sacred religion. The effort to preserve Islam as the only true religion with all the idea, facts, principles and guidelines intact, could reliably be accepted since the Prophet Muhammad's time. It has come a long way since then, but we believe that it has persevered through the test of time. So, the saying that one would die for the religion is not so hard to grasp when something so sacred as a religion should be protected. Hence, the disappointment of the Pope when no Christian stood up to defend their religion.

My simple explanation for all this is that we are without a doubt coming towards the end of time, and at this age, if you dont hold dear to something like a spiritual belief system, you will not be able to survive the struggle against good and evil. Good and evil comes in such complicated form, deceiving those who want to be deceived. So, if you dont have anything strong to hold on to, forget it, you'll be swept of your feet into total chaos and oblivion.

I guess this is what the people behind all this effort to trash and taint one's believe system to its core foundation is hoping will happen. If a nation's faith is burnt to dust, the downfall is near. As always, I believe it's the conspiracy theory of the so called "choosen one"!!! Any rebuttal?

Ok la, enuf of this heavy discussion...lets get into business......so, have you tasted good cheesecake lately? I was blessed last thursday when i was attending a seminar conducted by Novell (IT Solution Company) at the Sime Darby Convention Centre at Bukit Kiara....fuhhh!!! The cheesecake was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I'm not kidding.....and i have tasted a whole lot of cheesecake and I can vouch that this was indeed the best. It was made into 2 layer cheesecake with a thin layer of cake in the middle. The top of the cake was sprinkled with something crunchy...nuts or chocolate flakes..I cant tell, too busy pushing it down my throat. It was not too sweet or too muak....but just nice. I could finish the whole tray if I wasnt with my boss....

Ok, for all the drooling folks....adios amigos!!
